I think I am in love! I had sooo much fun shooting an actual high school senior! I think I may be swinging this way more often. I love cooperation. It makes my job sooo much easier. Or maybe it was just her. But she was so much fun, and so easy to capture. Just a gorgeous girl, what can I say!

I have to apologize for not getting the cd's out last week. I had the great privilege of attending the photography workshop by NicholeV {life as art} Professional Workshop last weekend, and was planning on sending them out while I was gone. Well, you know how crazy packing and planning can be right? I had everything ready to go, and walked right out of my office and left them on the desk! Now, I thought about having my husband package them up and send them off, but then thought about how they would arrive, if everything would look nice, and put together, if the right cd's would get to the right address...etc. Needless to say, I couldn't do it! He is gifted in many ways, however, I don't think presentation is one of those gifts. It might be a man thing... they don't know if a bow is crooked, or even care enough to tie one, it would probably be frustrating for him anyway. So with some patience and luck... they will go out TUESDAY!!!

I am soooo mad its supposed to RAIN on Friday! I don't know what to do. I am willing to do the sessions on Thursday for those who might be able to work that out! I know some of you are traveling so that is my biggest concern. Please email me if you want to change your date from Friday to Thursday, or if you would like to reschedule. I would even be willing to reschedule to Sunday if that helps anyone out! I am sending out individual emails in case you don't see this here! SO sorry! That is the risk I take with scheduling these sessions so far in advance. boo hoo.

I spent most of the day scouting for new locations since almost all of the previous ones have been posted 'no tresspassing' due to the over abundance of photographers in the area. I can't blame them for not wanting strange people rummaging through their property, so the search is on for public places to shoot in. The problem with Saint George is there is plenty of 'desert' to shoot in, but not a whole heck of anything else. So the areas that had potential were constantly saturated with photographers of all sorts. I am ready to move back up north just because the locations around here are becoming more and more extinct. So, with any luck, I will beable to find something that allows for a variety of scenery for my local clients. Its just easier said than done! Here are some shots from today's mission.

I am almost finished editing...well, lets say 1/2 way done! I should be shipping out those that are done most likely on Monday, Nov. 3rd, since I am pretty tied up the rest of the week, and I am sure I will be a huge slug Saturday after all the Halloween Madness! So Monday is the plan. I hope everyone is excited to see! They are beautiful! I will definitely be using some images for the new website! Sorry its not up yet for viewing~ I thought you might like to see your images first!

Just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to all my clients who signed up for the mini sessions this year!!! I had a complete blast, and they all turned out soo good! love that Lehi location, and will definately put that on the calendar for next year! But seriously, everyone was so nice and easy to work with...even those husbands that don't enjoy taking pictures very much were completely willing to help move furniture and take care of kids...it was really helpful to make each session a true success! I thank you all very much for trusting me with these precious memories! Can't wait for next year~

Mini Session Locations

For those who are signed up for the Thursday Mini Session this link has a beautiful picture of the location as the title to the page. Just so you can have a visual for that location.

The location out in Saratoga Springs may vary, some downtown Lehi, and some out in the field. I was just at the field location which was a corn field last year, but this year the field is more of a grass. It will still look gorgeous! I will try to upload a pict of the location, but my current desktop is out of commission along with the pictures I had stored on it. (frustrating) But, with any luck, it will be fully restorable! yay. so hang tight!

Currently, the dates for these mini sessions are for October 16, 17, and 18 2008 with time slots still available. The locations for each day are as follows:

Thursday October 16 (Mapleton, Utah - Grass field setting)

Times may shift slightly as the dates approach, please keep the entire hour open for your session just in case! Weather and lighting play a big part in this, and as you know, we can sometimes get snow (please, no snow) in October! So, incase of inclement weather, sessions will be rescheduled.

gritty wine

One of my personal favorite colors for tutu's....gritty wine. Almost red, almost purple. Really pops well out of most pictures! So fun to use for urban settings, as well as giving depth for black and whites. Use it in a field, on a chair, or with a blank backdrop. Anyway you use it, you will love it!
